Applying for funding means sharing details about your business and your finances. We use industry-standard safeguards designed to protect sensitive financial information, and we limit how that information is handled once you send it to us. This page explains, in plain terms, what we do — and what we don’t.

Encryption in transit

Every page on this website, and every form and upload, is served over an encrypted HTTPS/TLS connection. Information you send — your application answers, your documents, your signature — travels to us over that encrypted connection rather than in the clear. You can review our site’s current TLS configuration through the independent SSL Labs report linked in our footer.

How your application is handled

Your application is transmitted over an encrypted connection directly into our secure application system. Sensitive identifiers — such as a Social Insurance Number, where you choose to provide one — are passed straight into that secure application and are not stored on this website or kept in your browser after you submit. We collect only the information we need to review your funding request.

Your documents

Bank statements and any other documents you upload are transmitted over an encrypted connection and routed only to the funding team reviewing your file. They are not posted publicly or shared for marketing.

Connecting your bank

Instead of uploading statements, you can securely connect your business bank account through our banking-data partner, Flinks. You enter your online-banking credentials directly with your financial institution through Flinks’ secure interface — your banking login credentials are never seen, collected, or stored by Trade Wings Capital. The connection is read-only: our funding team receives a copy of your account and transaction information to review your funding request, but we cannot move money or make changes to your account. Flinks is independently SOC 2 Type II audited, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and processes it within Canada. Who can access your information

Access to your application and financial information is limited to the team that handles your file. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. How we collect, use, and disclose information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Service providers

We work with established third-party service providers to help operate our business — for example, to process applications and to verify business banking information during review. We share only what those providers need to perform their function, and we require them to protect the information they handle.

Analytics and your privacy

We use standard website analytics to understand how our site is used and to improve it. Where analytics collect an IP address, it is anonymized. You can control cookies through your browser settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on cookies and tracking technologies.
